Confirmation 2026

Confirmation 2026 is almost upon us! 

I'm thankful that it's January because it is one of my favorite opportunities for students to grow in their relationship with Jesus through Confirmation. Our Confirmation program serves as an opportunity for students grade seven and above to explore the Christian faith and to make a commitment to become a disciple of Jesus Christ. Each student in confirmation will learn what it means to be a Baptized Christian and a Professing Member of the Global Methodist Church. The goal of this program is NOT for the student to simply become a member of this church, but for them to learn to love Jesus with their whole heart and to love the church as it carries Jesus' mission to the world. 

If your student is interested in joining Confirmation this year to please register by January 1 at www.quakeyouth.org/register.

If you want to learn more about it, please join us for our information meeting on January 4th at 5pm in Cafe. If you can't attend in person, please reach out to Mark by January 4th and would like it recorded. Classes are scheduled to start the following week. 

Here's more information on how this year will work:

The current breakdown of our schedule this year:
 • January 4 - Parent & Student Information Meeting at 5pm in the Cafe
 • January 11 to February 1 - 9am Worship Service; 10:30am Class in the Court Yard Room
 • February 13-15 - Retreat at Church (mandatory)
 • February 22 to March 1 - 9am Class in the Rooms 244-246; 10:30am Worship Service 
 • March 6 - Confirmation Banquet at 6:30pm
 • March 8 - Confirmation Sunday (both services) 

Attendance is required for the meeting, classes, and retreat. You are required to attend at least 80% of classes and services and the retreat is mandatory. There is an option of sleeping at home during the retreat! 

The cost of Confirmation is coved by the church. 

We desire that your student learns more about the faith, but also we want to keep them safe as possible doing so. We are striving to make it a highly engaging and relational experience for your student!
